Conclusion

So if you need portable music player, choose iPod shuffle.

If you want to more powerful portable player and like to listen FM radio, iPod nano is for you.

If you have many many songs to save, iPod classic if the best choice.

If you want to play game and othere apps, or want to video chating with others, You may buy iPod touch.

You can add your music to another computer that contains itunes without losing all your songs.

1. The first thing you want to do is connect your ipod to your computer via the white USB cable. WARNING: If itunes opens and asks you if you would like to sync up your ipod click NO!

2. After your ipod is connected, open My Computer, or just Computer from the start menu and look for the ipod drive. It should be in the (F:) drive. You will see the ipod logo in the listing of disk drives.

3. If you are using Windows vista: Open the ipod drive and click on ORGANIZE. Then folder and search options tab. Then View and Show hidden files and folders.

If you are using Windows XP, open the ipod drive and click tools then Folder options then View tab then click show hidden files and folder. Finally click Apply.

4. Now you should have a new folder called ipod_control. Open that folder up and you should see the following: Calendar, Contacts, ipod_control, notes, photos, ect. If you are trying to save all of your music then the ipod_control folder is the only one you need to worry about.
5. Open the ipod_control folder then open the music folder. Copy each one of those folders (should look similar to these: F00, F01 …) onto your computer. You can do this by creating a new folder on your desktop and dragging the files into the folder.
6. Open itunes and insert the new folder you created on your computer’s desktop into: library —> Music

7. You can now sync your ipod to this new computer with out losing all of your music.

Playlist is a collection of songs or video that put in a custom order. With playlist, You can do many thins, such as:

  • Organize iTunes library
  • Burn CDs or DVDs
  • Share songs with others on your local network
  • Sync multiple iPods on one computer
  • Create custome mixes. For example, a playlist for dinner party or for a wedding.

There’re five kinds of playlists: standard playlist,  smart playlist, genius playlist, genius mixes and iTunes DJ playlist.

But how to create playlist for iPod? I’ll show you by simple steps:

1. Create Playlist

Open iTunes, Click menu "File | New Playlist",

Or click "Plus" sign on the left right bottom of iTunes.

After playlist created, It will be shown at the bottom left tree list. It’s the time to select a name for it now. After type the name in the box, Type return to confirm the name.

Great, you have a whole new play list now.

2. Add songs into the playlist

After playlist created, You may to add some songs or music to the playlist. Click "Library | Music", Select the songs that you want to add to playlist and drag them into the playlist.

The click the playlist name node again, You will find that all of the songs just drag in the playlist.

3. re-order the songs

It’s very easy to re-order the songs in playlist, Just drag them up and down.
